Hatun Huilaus, Metsäpirtti and Pyynpesä are holiday cabins set in the beautiful natural surroundings of Hattuvaara village.

Hatun Huilaus

Hatun Huilaus is a well-equipped log cottage on the shore of Lake Hattujärvi, about 45 kilometres from the centre of Ilomantsi.

The cottage is located in an area known for excellent fishing and hunting. In winter, Lake Hattujärvi also offers great opportunities for ice fishing.

The cottage accommodates 8–10 guests. On the shore there is a wood-heated lakeside sauna, a pier, a lakeside terrace and a rowing boat.

The yard also features a covered barbecue area and a frisbee golf course. Two fat bikes are available for rent, allowing guests to explore the surrounding roads and forest trails both in summer and winter.

Metsäpirtti

Metsäpirtti is a 1950s log house renovated in a charming retro style. It is located 8 kilometres east of Hattuvaara village, about 50 kilometres from the centre of Ilomantsi.

The cabin accommodates six guests. During summer, an additional traditional granary building provides sleeping space for two more guests.

The yard includes an outdoor toilet, a wood-heated sauna and a traditional grill hut suitable for year-round use.

Drinking water can be collected from a natural spring located 200 metres away by the roadside. Washing water must be carried inside from the well.

Pyynpesä

Pyynpesä is located a few kilometres from Hattuvaara village, about 43 kilometres from the centre of Ilomantsi.

This log cabin, built on a pine-covered ridge, is ideal for guests seeking a wilderness-style retreat. It accommodates four guests. Both the cabin and the sauna are heated with wood.

The yard includes an outdoor toilet and a spacious grill hut suitable for year-round use.

Washing water is taken from the well. Drinking water must be brought along or collected from a spring about 300 metres away.
